Beijing, our capital city. Our first stop will be at Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Dominating the north side of the square is the massive red Tiananmen Gate through which we will pass into the fabled Forbidden City and another age, where we will see the home of the members of the royal family and their court during China's Ming and Qing Dynasties. After lunch we will visit the imposing Temple of Heaven where the Emperor came each year to intercede with the Gods for a good and plentiful harvest. A
Beijing Duck Dinner is served at a famous restaurant followed by a lively Peking Opera performance at the Liyuan Theatre.

Day 3

Daling Great Wall where you will have the opportunity to not only see one of the most impressive sections of the Great Wall of China but also take a walk along it. After lunch you will visit the Sacred Way with its fabulous stone animals. The way leads to the Ming Tombs in the shadow of Longevity Mountain. A visit to the Underground Palace of Dingling will allow you to see imperial coffins, burial artifacts and treasures. On the way back downtown, drive by the Bird's Nest (Olympic National Stadium). You will see its appearance at a distance.

Day 4

Beijing Zoo. The Summer Palace is the favourite haunt of the Empress Dowager, Walking in this veritable museum of classical Chinese garden architecture, where the royal family could relax away from the formal ceremony of the court, is a pleasant experience. There are a number of pavilions as well as the Long Corridor, now a popular place for people to spend the day. Take a flight to X'ian and transfer to the hotel.

Day 5
LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comFollowing breakfast in the hotel, go to visit the Terracotta Warriors Museum. The thousands of life size soldiers and horses were created to guard the tomb of Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Emperor to unite China under his firm rule. The royal tomb itself has yet to be opened but the rank upon rank of Warriors is a sight that is unrivalled anywhere in the world. In the afternoon visit Great Mosque built in 742 during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The traditional Chinese-style architecture makes this mosque quite distinct from its Arabic counterparts. This evening you will be entertained with the marvelous Tang Dynasty Show.

LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comVisit the Hanyangling Museum, the Mausoleum of Western Han Emperor Liu Qi on the way to the airport. Hanyangling Museum - it is the joint tomb of Liu Qi, the fourth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD) and his empress, the mother of the emperor Han Wudi. It is neatly laid out with the emperor's tomb in the center, which discloses the strict hierarchical system in ancient times.Take a flight to Lhasa where the altitude is 3,650 meters above sea level. Transfer to the hotel and acclimatize yourself to the high altitude. Dinner is served at your hotel.

LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comVisit the Tibet Museum and a Carpet Factory. After having a western-style lunch, go head to Visit Sera Monastery. This can even be seen in the naming of this monastery. Sera, meaning " merciful hail " is a challenge to Drepung monastery, whose name means "rice heap" in the sense that hail damages rice. This rebellious monastery, some of whose monks were famed for their soldiery last challenged power in 1947. In the course of this failed coup, they even made an attempt on the then Regent' s life. Founded in 1419, at its height, Sera monastery was residence to more than 5,000 monks and five monastic colleges. Jokhang Temple, the Jokhang (right), which is Tibetan for "House of the Lord," faces west towards Chokpori Hill. It is the holiest site in Tibetan Buddhism, housing the Jowo Buddha (below left). Construction was started by Songtsen Gampo in the mid-7th century with founding dates proposed ranging from 639 to 647. The Jokhang underwent a long series of additions and reconstruction in subsequent years, but the present temple is largely the product of the construction by the Great Fifth Dalai Lama in the seventeenth century, who greatly enlarged the building. Visit Barkor market in the afternoon. An a la carte dinner will be arranged for you at the best local Sichuan restraunt.

LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comVisit Potala Palace, was built by King Srong-tsan-gam-po and Princess Wen-Cheng in the Seventh Century. The original palace was largely destroyed in the medieval era. It was rebuilt by the fifth Dalai Lama in the Seventeenth Century. Potala was supposed to be the residence of Avalokitesvara or Guan-Yin who is suppose to be the father of Tibetan and reincarnated as King Srong-tsan-gam-po. This fabulous palace consisted of the White Palace and the Red Palace two parts. It is like Mona Lisa' s , who always looks at you from all angles, among all palaces in the World. After a western-style lunch, visit the Norbu Linka, which is a beautiful park in the western suburbs of Lhasa. It used to be the Summer Palace for the dalai Lamas where they handled political affairs, and practiced religious activities. The construction started in 40s of the 18th century, covering a floor space of 46 ha. The whole park has more than 370 rooms of different sizes, and lawns, shaded by green trees and embedded by various flowers. With the clear water, and the flowers and trees around, it is known as the "park within the park ".Then visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street and the Tibetan Traditional Medicine Hospital. Dinner is served at your hotel.

Gansu Provincial Museum if time permits. Waterwheel Garden - The wheel in the Garden was invented in Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and is the oldest one as known. The designer, Duan Xu, modeled this from the irrigation machines in
Yunnan Province. It resembles a chariot wheel with a diameter ranging from 10 to 20 meters (32.8 to 65.6 feet). The wheel was driven by water flow and those buckets fixed along the brim could carry water one by one in order to irrigate crops.Full board is on your own.

LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comVisit the Binglingsi Grottoes. Binglingsi Grottoes - ten thousand Buddhas there await your exploration. Bingling means "ten thousand Buddhas" in Tibetan language. It is a cluster of Buddhas that are situated on a steep cliff. Each statue is sculpted with unique posture and facial expression. In total, 183 caves with 694 stone sculptures and 82 clay figures are in good preservation.Take a flight to Chongqing. After having a rich buffet dinner at the 5-star hotel, check in at the luxurious Yangtze cruise ship.

After lunch we will make a stop for a visit to the Ghost City of Fengdu, famous for its temple dedicated to the King of the Underworld, an association dating back to the Han Dynasty.

LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comAs you progress along the mighty river, you arrive at Badong, here you will transfer to a small junk and explore the Shennong Stream. The trip features a fantastic natural backdrop and a wonderful boat ride along the crystal stream. The most impressive scene is a team of trackers push and haul the wooden sampans over the willow rapids. Sometimes, the pea boats allow you to take a closerlook at mossy rocks, verdant plants, ancient plank roads, hanging coffins and rare flying monkeys. Afterwards we go back on board and have dinner.

Now virtually complete, this is the largest project of its kind ever undertaken anywhere in the world. Not only does the dam fulfill the function of controlling the floodwaters of the Yangtze but will also provide eco-friendly hydroelectric power. Pack your luggage and follow the check-out procedures. After having lunch in Yichang, visit Yichang Museum if time permits. Take a flight to Shanghai and transfer to the hotel.

Day 15
LLLwww.Chinakindnesstour.comYou will see something of its history at the Shanghai Museum on People's Square with its fine collection of cultural relics. Then we will visit the Yuyuan Garden. Laid out in the 16th century by a Ming official, this small (2 hectares) garden is a delight of pools, pavilions and rock gardens. Strolling through the bazaar surrounding the garden, you will find lines of stores that sell traditional Chinese arts and crafts. Tonight a memorable a la carte dinner is served at Central Hotel, whose restaurant Wang Bao He has a history of around 260 years and is the best place to sample Shanghai Cuisine. The dinner will be followed by the Portman Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre.
