Beijing – Xi’an by night train B/L

Beijing, our capital city. Our first stop will be at Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Dominating the north side of the square is the massive red Tian’anmen Gate through which we will pass into the fabled Forbidden City and another age, where we will see the home of the members of the royal family and their court during China’s Ming and Qing Dynasties. After lunch we will visit the imposing Temple of Heaven where the Emperor came each year to intercede with the Gods for a good and plentiful harvest. In the evening transfer to train station to take night sleeper train Z19 (20:43/07:58+1) to Xi’an.

Day 4: Arrival Xi’an & Tour Xi’an B/L
hhhwww.Chinakindnesstour.comArrive in Xi’an (the ancient former capital city) at 07:58, meet the local guide at train station and transfer to have breakfast. Then set out for another highlight of your tour, the Terracotta Warriors Museum. The thousands of life size soldiers and horses were created to guard the tomb of Qin Shi Huangdi, the first Emperor to unite China under his firm rule. The royal tomb itself has yet to be opened but the rank upon rank of Warriors is a sight that is unrivalled anywhere in the world. In the late afternoon stroll on Muslim Street. All shops and restaurants in the street are operated by Muslims. The stalls lined the narrow alleys sell almost everything you can expect. There are number of stalls selling small items of aircrafts.

Day 5: Xi’an B/L
hhhwww.Chinakindnesstour.comTo start your day before breakfast, you will have a unique chance to experience the mysterious and ancient art of Tai Chi Chuan, a 300-year old traditional Chinese martial art, also known as shadow boxing. After breakfast you will visit the Provincial History Museum with its richest collection of artifacts in China. Next visit Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area which mainly consists of the Xi’an Museum, the ancient Jianfu Temple built in the year 684 A.D during the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907) and the famous Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The scenic area has become a wonderful leisure site for the appreciation of cultural relics, sightseeing and entertainment. Followed by strolling on Shu Yuan Men, which is an ancient-style street. Various crafts and arts are sold on this crowded street all year long. It is particularly famous for its collection of calligraphy. In fact, the market is popularly known as the "Calligraphy Street". A host of shops here carry the legacy of the ancient Chinese art. This art street is flanked by over 100 shops in the Ming and Qing styles, selling rubbings from stone inscriptions, paintings and calligraphic works by celebrities, and books of ancient seals. The high quality of this work wins many tourists at home and abroad.

After that take a strolling on Jinli Old Street is one of the oldest and busiest streets in the history of Xishu. As early as the period of Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms, it was known all around the country. This street, which is only 350 meters long, is a stage for the life in
Chengdu, showcasing the features of it. You can taste the flavor of the old
Chengdu by seeing the age-old street, official residence, folk residence, teahouse, inn, wine bar, stage and handiwork; you can have a taste of the authentic
Chengdu flavor by having some local flavor snacks and local specialties.

Dating back to the 8th century, the Giant Buddha is the largest carved stone Buddha and the tallest per-modern statue in the world. After arrive in Leshan by driving, take a boat ride (about 40 minutes) to see he Giant Buddha, enjoy fantastic views of the surrounding landscape from atop the Buddha’s head. When viewed from Leshan dock, the outline of the Giant Sleeping Buddha can be clearly seen. You will walk up to Lingyun Temple, located at the top of Mountain, and to the top of the Leshan Giant Buddha, where you can walk around it as well as down to the foot of Giant Buddha and up again, via stone trestle. In the afternoon drive back to
Chengdu.

The river wends its way through the unique scenery of Karsts (limestone mountains) that have strange and fabulous shapes. Admire the shapes and try to guess their names - Crown Rock, Conch Hill, Jade Lotus Peak and Snow Lion Peak are just a few while enjoying lunch on board. When arrival Yangshuo, walking on the West Street which is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. Situated at the center of Yangshuo County, West Street has become, since the 1980's, a window of eastern and western culture and the biggest 'foreign language center' in China. Drive back to
Guilin.

The cave system has a stunning array of natural limestone formations that are made all the more impressive by the clever use of coloured lighting. Then you go to the delightful Seven Star Park before you visit one of the many unusual rock formations that have been carved out by water erosion over thousands of years, Elephant Trunk Hill, as its name implies is quite a remarkable example of the hand of nature upon the landscape. You will also have chance to visit Fubo Hill, located on the west bank of the Li River. The waves of the river are turned back when they meet the stone blocks of the hill, hence the name “wave-subduing hill”. If you stand on the western side, you can have a bird’s-eye view of the Li River.
