The Tourist Vessels On Mekong River

          The luxury European style cruiser RV Mekong Sun, built in 2005 in Laos, is designed to cater up to 28 guests. The vessel features two decks. The 11 double cabins on the main deck are each of app. 12 Osize, all with river view and a small French balcony for a splendid view on the passing landscapes. The 20 O superior cabin, located in the vessel’s bow offers amazing panoramic views whilst the two superior-cabins on the rear end of the upper deck are about 21 O, all three having their separate balconies. All cabins are made of noble teak and mahogany with two beds, a private shower, WC and air condition. The sun deck is open for all guests with more than 28 deck chairs on it and features a bar-service. Meals are served in the restaurant / bar-area, with breakfast and lunch in buffet-style. Dinner is served at the table. Delicious meals are prepared in South-east Asian and European style.     
           Cruiser Mekong Sun is the first and the only typical European style cruiser with high standard service in this section of Mekong river.

2. Mekong Prince ( Chinese River Cruiser )

The cruiser Mekong Prince is 39 meters in length, 7.4 meters in width, 10.8 meters in height, it’s 336 tons in weight, and 1.5 meters deep into water. The speed is 15 km up stream, 27 km down stream.
Mekong Prince was built in 2001 and refitted in 2006, this newly refitted vessel passed the strict check by Chinese local marine authority on July 15, 2006; it began its first cruise on Mekong River from Jinghong of China to Chiang Saen of Thailand on July 17, 2006.
This refitting work is an overall settlement, including all the 15 cabins with private bathroom, restaurant, conference hall, kitchen, sun deck, power system, corridors and even steering cabin.
The three decks with:
10 classic cabins on the lower & middle deck ( 8O)
4 superior cabins on the lower & middle deck ( 12O)
1 de luxe double cabin on the upper deck ( 14O)
All cabins are with en-suite shower/WC and air conditioning; all the washing water from the super water tank, not from the river.
Mekong Prince is the only cabin cruise with a large sun deck ( enough for 28 deck chairs on it ) capable of reliably navigating the upper Mekong River between China and Thailand ( 344 KM by river ).

3. Golden Triangle No. 8 ( Chinese Speedboat )

              Golden Triangle No.8 is a luxury speedboat which began its business transportation and cruise on Mekong River in June, 2004. There are 68 comfortable soft seats with a small bar service in the cabin, 2 small open decks which are big enough for about 16 passengers to take the view of scenery. It possesses a powerful engine which is made in USA ( 800 hp ) and it’s highest speed will be 60km/h. Golden Triangle No.8 speedboat has made more 40 times of business voyages since 2004, including such VIP groups as the minister of China Ministry of Communication, the chief of China Marine Bureau and the Governor of Yunnan Province of China, the delegation of Governors of North Thailand, etc. Tea, coffee service and lunch are available on board.

4. Golden Peacock No.1 ( Chinese Cruiser )

                  Golden Peacock No.1 is the newly-built biggest Chinese luxury cruiser on Mekong River, it’s virgin cruise was on 27 of Oct, 2005, which is regarded as a “floating Chinese high star-rate hotel “with twin rooms, double rooms and VIP rooms as more as enough for 60 passengers to stay overnight. There are well-equipped restaurant, conference room, coffee bar, dancing hall and viewing stage on board. It is really a pleasure to take a cruise on this comfortable cruiser.

5. Tianda Boat ( Chiese Speedboat )

              The two speedboats Tianda No.1 and No.2 are 20.10 meters in length, 4.12 meters in width, 18 tons in weight, 0.712 meters deep into water. The speed is 40km up stream, 50 km down stream. The boat has 48 soft seats but no bedroom. The number of the crew is 5 persons. Tea, coffee service and lunch are available on board.
