BBBwww.Chinakindnesstour.comLhasa to Shigatse - 8 hours including stopping, 380km by old road. Set off on our journey of discovery of Tibet. Drive to the famous Tibetan city of Gyantse which is nestled in the rich Nyangchu Valley, pass Yamdrok-Tso Lake, one of the biggest holy lakes in Tibet and visit the amazing Kumbum Chorten with its 10,000 murals. Also visit Gyangtse Dzong Fortress, site of conflict between invading British forces and Tibetans in 1904. Then to Shigatse and visit the awesome Tashilhunpo Monastery. Built in 1447, it is the seat of the Panchen Lama and once was home to 4000 monks. 2 nights Shigatse. Visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery on return visit for non Nepal option.
