Kunming to Shangri-la, meet the local guide at airport and transfer to 4 star hotel.Then visit the Songzanlin Monastery which is 5 km from the seat of Shangri-la County. Construction began in 1679 and was completed in1681. It is said that the Fifth Dalai Lama chose the site of the monastery through divination and named it "Gedan Songzanlin Monastery". In 1724, during the reign of Emperor Yongzheng in the Qing Dynasty, the monastery was renamed the "Guihua Monastery". During its time of greatest prosperity, there were more than 3,000 monks in the temple, now there are still 700 monks inside. In the afternoon visit Zhongdian old town with Tibetan old streets and houses and enjoy the local people dancing in the middle square of old town.

Day 3
yyywww.Chinakindnesstour.comAfter breakfast, drive to the east for 4 hours to Luoji, a big Tibetan village, after lunch, start the trekking tour with horses. Today, you will trek about 10 km from Luoji to Hongxing, another Tibetan village, following the Niru river valley path. On the way, visit the scenery of Luoji River and higher mountain vegetation & flowers. The trekking will take about 5 hours. Have dinner at local villager’s house in Hongxing Village.

Day 4
yyywww.Chinakindnesstour.comContinue trekking from Hongxing to Niru, another Tibetan village, following the Niru river valley path. The trekking distance is 9 km and it will take about 4 hours. Have a late lunch in Niru upon arriving. In the afternoon, visit the Niru village elementary school, after dinner, have a bon-fire party with the Tibetan villagers and the students.

Day 5
