Located in the western part of
Zhuhai, the Baitenghu Crocodile Island is one of the tourist scenic spots with unique characteristics.
At the entrance gate stands a four meters high sculpture--"the Crocodile Family" which attracts lots of tourists Built on the ground, among colorful flowers and fresh green grasses, the ten crocodile ponds has thousands of crocodiles of four varieties. The largest is four meters long and weight 500 kilograms. Besides, many ostriches, black bears, peacocks, monkeys, boas, camels and sturdy horses are bred for tourists' enjoyment.
Other recreational items such as an imitation of ancient cannon, water wheels and aquatic bicycles are offered.
Cockfighting, acrobaties magic, song and dance are also performed.
Since June 1997, there has been the performances of taming crocodiles. It is very attractive and interesting.
