Tianzhuang Hotel is a foreign-oriented hotel based on transformation of former Xizhou No.1 Courtyard (Dong's Courtyard) in 1987. It was rated as first-star hotel in 1994, and listed as cultural relic unit under the provincial protection by Yunnan Provincial People's Government. The major hotel building is an earth-wooden structure built in 1942. The hotel building is in the architecture style of Bai ethnic group-a screen wall facing the gate of a compound with other three sides of houses. The whole building has four compounds and five small yards, combining with western architectural elements. The hotel has a green area of 5,000 square meters. Lawns are as flat as green carpets, and trees have shades, hidden with stone tables and chairs. It's a quite and beautiful place, filled with fresh air.
Since its opening to the public, the hotel has received Li Ruihuan, Qiao Shi, Wan Li, Tian Jiyun, Chen Muhua and other leaders of the Party and the State. The hotel is also favored by foreign tourists. The hotel now has 20 standard rooms (150 yuan), 4 four-person standard rooms (160 yuan) and 4 five-person standard rooms (150 yuan). Dining halls and recreation facilities are complete. The dining hall can hold 100 guests at the same time. Tourists in the hotel can enjoy Bai's traditional foods. Chinese and western foods are also available. Tianzhuang Hotel is some 60 kilometers from Dali Airport, 38 kilometers from the Railway Station, 35 kilometers from Xiaguan Pier, 16 kilometers from Caicun Pier, 5 kilometers from Taoyuan Pier.
