The Luosha Pavilion is 15 kilometers south of the ancient city of
Dali, and two kilometers west of Lianhua Peak in the Cangshan Mountains. On a sacred platform inside the pavilion, there is a seated statue of Avalokitesvara. The pavilion was built on a huge rock on a mountain slope of the south bank of the Yangxi Stream. The rock is 16 meters wide and 6 meters high. There is a crack in the middle, which is said to have been made by a divine being with an axe.
