Dongzhai Mangrove Natural Reserve is the biggest swamp forest in China, covering four districts, such as Sanjiang and Yanfeng. It is more than 50km long and occupies 60,000mu. The trees here are 10 meters in height, with flourishing prop root and board-shaped root under water. When the tide is up, they are soaked. The roots with different length sustain the large crown of the tree. The trunks of the lower part have various shapes. Some look like the elephant drawing water, some like the unreal image of dragon palace, some like immortal watching the sea and the landscape is really unique and fascinating. There are pieces of Greenland on the sea, and water birds fly freely among them. At this time, if you take a boat to the mangrove forest, you will think you are in a fairyland. When the tide ebbs, you can walk in the circuitous path in the forest, sometimes you can see cygnet, red-crowned crane resting here.
