With a history of more than 70 years and 794 seats, Daguangming Cinema, the first wide-screen, stereophonic and elevation cinema in Tianjin, is luxuriously decorated and well appointed with comfortable seats. It is also equipped with the Dolby SRD digit annular system which is fairly advanced in the world.

Theatre

Built in 1936, China Theatre is a cultural relic under protection in Tianjin. This three-story building with a seating capacity of 1,475 performs Peking Opera, the opera of north and northeast China and local opera of Hebei Province. The performance of Peking Opera has enjoyed high reputation across the country. The theatre is an important publicity window to cultural and recreational activities of Tianjin.
