Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway
The Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway is a State key construction project. It starts in the west from the Southeast Fourth Ring Road, Beijing and goes eastward to the Hebei Road, Tanggu District of Tianjin. With a total length of 142.69 km, the section running through the territory of Tianjin is 100.85 km.
There are 43 bridges and six butterfly-type overpasses spanning the Tianjin section of the expressway. There are six exits, that is, Yangcun Station, Yixingbu Station, Jinzhong Rd. Station, Tianjin Airport Station, Tianjin Tanggu Station, Tianjin Junlian gcheng Station (unopened). The expressway has four lanes and overpasses. Traffic entrance and exit are under control. The expressway has complete service facilities, and advanced monitoring system.
Water Transport
Tianjin port Passenger Transport Wharf
Tianjin Port is located in the western bank of Bohai Bay, and is the largest man-made port in China. It is the only way for passengers go to Beijing by sea. Tianjin Port Passenger Transport Station has two 7,000-dwt berths. The area of the station covers 30,000 square meters. The passenger transport station has a two-story main building, equipped with complete advanced facilities, including nine waiting halls and rooms. The main building is flanked by the ticket hall and the dining hall. To the east of the building stand a trunk room and a checkroom. The Tianjin Port now opens three regular passenger ships by sea. They are from Tianjin to Longkou, Yantai and Dalian respectively. There are two regular international passenger ships: from Tianjin to Kobe of Japan, and from Tianjin to Jinsen of Republic of Korea. During the tourist season, Tianjin Port has also received irregular passenger ships from Europe and Japan.
Railway
Tianjin has four railway stations for passenger transport, the largest being Tianjin station. The station, located in the city center to the east side of Jiefang Bridge spanning over the Haihe River, handles both passenger and cargo transport. It can accommodate 10,000 passengers waiting for trains at the same time, handling 126 passenger trains and 62 cargo trains.
There are many trains starting from Tianjin Station and via Tianjin, bounding to Beijing, Shijiazhuang, Guangzhou, Xi'an, Shanghai, Nanjing, Harbin, Hongkong, Kow loon and other 32 cities. Besides the Tianjin Station, there are the North, West and South stations. The North Station situated in Hebei District, links up the Beijing-Harbin and Beijing-Shanghai trunk railways. The West Station lies in the northern tip of the Jinpu Railway, Handling the passenger transport from Beijing to Shanghai. The South Station, located in the Hedong District, is a cargo transport station. The tourist trains include: Tianjin-Beijing, Tianjin-Chengde, Tianjin-Jixian and Tianjing-Tai'an lines.

Tianjin Subway
Tianjin's subway was formally opened to traffic in 1984, and it stretches 7.4 km so far. There are eight stations along the line: xinhualu Station, Yingkoudao station, Anshandao Station, Haiguangsi Station, Erweilu Station, Xinanjiao Station, Xibeijiao Station and Xizhan station. It takes 12 minutes to run through the whole course. The business hours from 5:30 am-22:30 pm. Since form ally opening to the public, its daily average passenger transport capacity has reached 30,000, totaling 10 million a year. Tianjin is the second city following Beijing to open subways. Taxi
There are 32,000 taxis running in the city. So far, these taxis are mainly produced by Tianjin, including Xiali cars and Daihatsu mini buses. Some of them are Santana, Red Flag and Toyota cars. Round-the-clock taxi service is available at airport, railway stations, various hotels and tourist attractions. Service fees are charged according to miles of running, and different car models. Fees are varied from 1-2 yuan/per km, with 7-10 km as a starting price. On the top of a car is a sign lamp reading TAXI. Above the gauge unit inside the car is a passenger transport certificate and security certificate issued by concerned departments. Jixian County Tourist Scenic Area and the City Public Traffic Departments provide tourist chartered bus service, with the number of tourist buses reaching 200:Panshan Mountain, every Saturday, Sunday.
