Chengcun City, also known as "Ancient Yue City", is located 27km from the
Wuyishan Scenic Area. With an area of 480,000 sq m, it is the best preserved city of the Han Dynasty in South China. The center of the ancient city was a quadrangle-type complex, typical of the imperial palaces of the Qin and Han dynasties. Alarge number of cultural relies have been excavated from the site, such as hollow bricks, tiles, potteries, iron and bronze tools and weapons, indicating cultural exchanges between the people of what is now Fujian Province and those of central China in the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C-A.D.25)
