
The hill is located in 55km northwest of the Xingan County and has a distance of 88 kilometers from
Guilin City. It covers 53,000 hectares, and spans across Xing'an, Ziyuan and Longsheng counties. It is 2,142-meter high and is the top peak of Yuecheng Range and is called the first peak of South China. Looking like a squatted cat, it gets its name and has become a provincial natural reserve.
112 different species of rare animals are living here and 1,436 species of wild plants of which there are 36 types of azalea and well-known Chinese hemlock left from the ice-river period, which is regarded as living fossil of plantation together with meta sequoia and gingko.
What is more, the hill is the original source for Li River, Zi River and Xun River. You can enjoy flowers in spring, avoid hot sunlight in summer, mountaineer in autumn, and appreciate snow in winter. So it is the ideal place for sightseeing, excitement and vacation.
