Wuyishan's tourism industry has established a fairly good tourism consulting service system,and set up tourism consulting and complaint telephones opened to the public,The touching multimedia computer consulting system can be found at all hotels at the therr-star level or above,the Airport,Railway Station and piers.Tourism consulting service centers are set up in the places where tourists gather,with special personnel providing services.Wuyishan City has prepared various kinds of tourst materials for tourists,such as plane and train timetables,the map of railways,the tables of domestic and international air routes,prices for various tourist routes,and brief introductions to the hotels,travel agencies and tourist attractions.

 In accordance with the long-ranging development objectives of Wuyishan tourism industry,the Tourism Bureau of Wuy ishan City ,in cooperation with the Municipal Bureau for Technical Supervision,has spared no effort to promote the compulsory national standards for the urban public information signs since 1995 when the National Tourism Administration started the activity of founding "China's Top Tourist City"so as to bring Wuyishan's tourism into line with international tourism.At present,standard,correct and eye-catching signs can be seen at the Airport,Railway Station and piers,on the roads leading to the Airport ,Railway Station,piers and tourist attractions,and at all foreign-oriented hotels,scenic spots and historical sites,meeting and exhibition sites,designated tourism recreation and shopping centers. |

Constructed according to high standards ,the city proper,Holiday Resort and scenic areas in Wuyishan are arranged in a scientific and reasonable way,Some functional streets and areas have been formed,such as the Shopping Street,Recreational Area,Food Street,etc.Tourists may go fishing and floating at night,too. |

A city's international language en vironment is one of the concrete signs marking the development level of the city's tourism.In accordance with the State's relevant standards and intermational practice,street nameplates in both Chinese and English can be seen in the city proper of Wuyishan,at the Holiday Resort,and on the main roads;and introduction plates in both Chinese and English stand at all main tourist attractions, thus providing cionvenience to foreign tourists. |
Wuyishan now has a total of 142 hotels,including 18 star-rated ones,with 2,818 beds ,At present Wuyishan receives more than 1.6 million domestic and foreign tourists a year. To meet the needs of a constant growth of tourists,Wuyishan has strengthened the construction of the public facility service system.Now the city has a modernized telecom munications system,including microwave ,mobile telephones and pager service,in addition to international express mail service and data transmission.A public telephone network has been set up,and IC-card public telepliones can be found on the both sides of the streets ,and at the scenic areas and Holiday Resort.All the hotels above the three stars have set up the reservation service network.
