
1. Protecting Tourists' Legitimate Rights and Interests
The development of
Wuyishan's tourism adheres to the principles of building a high-efficiency and authoritative management system under the guidance of the Government and with the participation of the society, and improving and developing tourism according to law. To truly protect tourists' legitimate rights and interests, the Tourism Bureau of Wuyishan City set up Tourism Supervisory Brigade in 1995, Tourism Economic Police Team in 1996, and the Tourism Quality Supervision and Administration Office in 1998. They supervise and administer the tourism market in an all-round way to safeguard tourists' legitimate rights and interests. Meanwhile the Tourism Bureau promotes the Requirements for Domestic Tourist Service Quality of Travel Agencies, the Requirements for Guides' Service Quality, and the Standards for Tourist Automobile Service Quality, thus standardizing service and operation and guaranteeing tourist service quality.
2. Tourism Emergency Aid
Wuyishan City boasts a perfect tourism safety system. Since 1996 the city has adopted the policeman system, and promoted the 110 Police Service and Rapid Response mechanisms. In the tourist attractions, there is the public security sub-bureau, under which there are local police stations and security report centers, in addition to the "Green Hill and Water 118" Militia Emergency Team, which is in charge of handling emergency cases that happen in the tourist attractions. In 1996, Wuyishan started to implement the report system for handling important tourism security accidents. The city also has an emergency aid organ and emergency aid telephones: 110, 112 and 112. Medical aid centers are set up in the tourist attractions and holiday resorts.
