The Thousand-Island Lake is located within the Chun'an County, so named for the 1,078 nice islands in the lake. It lies just in the middle part of the golden tour route of "
Hangzhou, Thousand-Island Lake, and Huangshan Mountain".
The Thousand-Island Lake has the best ecological conditions with its green hills, blue water and beautiful natural scenery. The Chun'an County, where the Thousand Island Lake lies, has a long history and numerous man-made cultural relics, being long praised as the "famous county of literature". During the years since the Thousand-Island Lake tourism was developed, more than 20 tourist attractions have been put into operation in the three sight seeing zones, i.e. the Central Lake Zone, the Southeast Lake Zone and the Fuxi Limestone Tower Zone, and also with a lot of tourist activities. The huge-net fishing in the Thousand-Island Lake uses a fishing method of "blocking, driving, thrusting and spreading", with a fishing yield of hundreds of thousands kilograms for only one net-load. Visitors see a major wonder in the bustling site of fishing at the Thousand-Island Lake, with numerous fishes jumping, shining under the sunshine, splashing of water, and with people busy around happily.
