
Situated in Zhong Street in Shenhe District, north to
Shenyang Commercial Center, Chang'an Temple consists of well-preserved Buddist buildings. It is said that Chang'an Temple was built before Shenyang city came into existence. It is also said that this temple ensured the prosperity of Tang Dynasty thus given the name "Chang'an", No one knows when the temple was first set up. It was revealed as an ancient temple during the reconstruction of Shenyang City in Hongwu Period, Ming Dynasty. The present Chang'an Temple was rebuilt in Ming Dynasty.
