
Memorial Hall of the Boxers' Uprising, a Taoist abbey to enshrine and worship Lu Dongbin, is situated at No.18 Hejia Lane, Ruyi'an Street, Hongqiao District. When the Boxers' Uprising happened in the 26th year under the reign of Emperor Guang Xu of the Qing Dynasty, Cao Futian, a noted leader of the Boxers' Uprising, established the raised plot which became the center of the Boxer Uprising. It was turned into the Memorial Hall of the Boxers' Uprising after reconstruction in 1985.
