Lotus-Pond Park, located in the southern part of
Yangzhou suburbs, was originally given the name of Nanchi and Yanchi Park. Later, it was called the Lotus-Pond Park because lotus is widely planted there. Within the park, the Nine-Peak Hill of the Taihu Lake can be found. When Emperor Qianlong made a visit to the park, he wrote an inscription on a board for it.
Roaming around the park, fascinating scenes can be discovered everywhere. For example, ancient courtyards and pavilions are mirrored by the water of the lake; the spring water slowly passes by exquisite rockeries, and bold and straight trees are accompanied by flowers in blossom.
