The Memorial Hall of Shi Kefa, located at the foot of Meihua Hill near Guangchumen Gate of
Yangzhou, was established in 1987 in memory of Shi Kefa, a famous hero of the late Ming Dynasty who led the resistance to the Jin invaders.
Facing an ancient moat, the tomb of Shi Kefa is on the eastern side, with an entertainment hall located in front of it. President Jiang Zemin has mentioned it many times at home and abroad. In October 1991, he personally accompanied Lake Chairman Kim 11 Sung of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to visit here.
A painted statue of Shi Kefa stands in the center of the entertainment hall, while in the showcases on the two sides are his jade waistband, ivory seals and travel maps. The chronicle of events in his life, and a visitors book for comments are also displayed there.
Behind the hall is Meihua Hill, on the east and north sides of which sit the Meihua Hall and the Qingxue Room. On the walls are Shi Kefa's handwritings to the Prince Regent Duo' ergun and a home letter carved in stone.
Within the museum, these are ancient trees and rockeries. Visiting the tomb of Shi Kefa, one will feel a sense of national pride and the patriotic enthusiasm.
