
The Eight Eccentric Artists of
Yangzhou are enterprising painters of the Qing Dynasty, popular in the local art circle. The Memorial Hall of the Eight Eccentric Artists of Yangzhou publicizes and develops their achievements.
The major exhibition hall is an ancient building of nanmu in the Ming Dynasty style, a venue to show the local flavor and customs of Yangzhou in the 19th century, along with the growing convenient communications and prosperous economy.
The calligraphy and paintings by the Eight Eccentric Artists and other local artists are displayed in the east and west wings of the hall and the exhibition hall of treasures.
The Memorial Hall has an exhibition room displaying replicas of Jinnong, one of the eight Eccentric artists courtyards to represent the historical atmosphere pertinent to the life of creation of the Eight Eccentric Artists of Yangzhou.
Around the Memorial Hall, there are ancient trees of over a thousand years old, rockeries and water ponds, along with foliage under the tranquil environment.
