Songhua River Snow and Ice World is located at the River Center Beach of Dao Li district, the east end of it is Harbin Children's Palace and the west end is Cable Car Line of Tong Jiang Street. The total length for it is 1030 meters, and the width is 180 meters, but the widest is 225 meters, with the total area of 188,000 m2. The 500 items are constructed with 60,000 m2 of ice, 130,000 m2 of snow and RMB 33,000,000.00.
There are five parts in the whole project. Part one is entitled as 'the Bell of New Century' for the celebration of Millennium, connected by the four squares of Dragon, Bell Tower, Returning Voice and New Century Stage. Part two is entitled as 'Cartoon World, consisting of white rabbits celebrating the coming of spring, Northern China scenery, hunting deer on the snow, crane and pine, marine world, snow white princess, Santa Claus, sleeping Buddhist on the snow capped mountain, color tower and snow houses, Great Wall made from ice and other recreational facilities for teenagers. Part three is entitled as 'Challenging World', with the activities of snow capped mountain climbing, Polar searching etc. Part four is entitled as 'Ice Interest' with the facilities of skating, ice sculpturing, magic gorges etc. and Yurts for tourists to rest and get warm. Part five is entitled as 'Snow Singing' with skiing zone, ice soccer field, motoring on snow, snow pagodas and outskirts' pinwheel.
Heilongjiang Snow and Ice World have the 'Seven Most' ice and snow sculptures in the festival history.
