Lake Shiyanhu is located at the Shiya
npu in the Tiaoma Township south of
Changsha County. Its original name is Yacaochong Reservoir, a manmade reservoir built in 1957. Around the lake, there are mountains stretching away with dense woods and various kinds of wildlife. The scenery is really beautiful in the depth of mountains. A hill in the center of the lake becomes an island. The hill and the water are shining with each other, giving a fascinating charm. A number of service facilities have been built including its entrance gate, a hill pavilion, a ballroom and a hotel, as well as other entertainment programs such as yachting, and hunting games.
