
There is a deer raising ground at the Taohualing in Yuelu Mountain area, the largest in the five provinces in Central and South China. It was established in 1965 and it is successful in raising in the south the species of deer from the north. Now, there are 540 deer in the grounds, producing more than 10,000kg of pilose antler every year. The breeding ground covers an area of more than 60mu of land, surrounded by verdant mountains. The landscape is charming and pleasant. It is a new tourist spot combining tourism and scientific research.
