Jia Yi's Old Residence is located in Taifu Lane, Taiping Street, Tianxin District of
Changsha City, which is one of the oldest relics existing in Changsha. Jia Yi, a great thinker and writer of the Western Han Dynasty, had once lived here for three years after he was demoted to be the teacher of the monarch of Changsha (in Chinese called Taifu). Having been rebuilt, Jia Yi's Old Residence opened to public, and soon became one of the new historical sites in Changsha. The present Jia Yi's Old Residence consists of Jia Taifu Memorial Temple, Taifu Hall, Xunqiu thatched House, Ancient Stele Pavilion, Wall Inscriptions and Changhuai Well.
