
During the 50th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1711), the Muslims raised funds to build the Sanxing Street Mosque. The mosque was destroyed in fire in 1937. In 1941, a temporary church for service was built on the ruins of Sanxing Street. In 1946 it was rebuilt. Since the liberation of the city, the city government has allocated funds trenovate and repair the mosque three times. In 1952, the service hall, the porch and water supply room were consolidated. In 1957 it was painted and whitewashed with gypsum plaster once more. In 1980, a large-scale renovation was carried out. Now, the mosque has been moved to a new site near Huilongshan northeast of the Old White Sand Well, at the northern and of the Helong Stadium.
