Qionglai is the only place in Chengdu that the Red Army passed through to continue the Long March and establish the revolutionary government. The Long March Museum has become a base for patriotic education in Chengdu, it includes an exhibition hall, a group sculpture of the Red Army during the Long March, the site of the Soviet government and stone pavilion with inscribed slogan on, and a square where the flag is raised.
