
The Chunyang Temple in Xinjin County, was originally built in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It is also called the No.1 Confucius Temple of Honesty and Filial Piety in ancient and modern times. The temple, a key relic under provincial protection, is located 38km from
Chengdu and occupies an area of 120 mu. Inside there were 68 vivid sculptures, including 24 of officials loyal to their sovereign and 24 dutiful sons. The temple is a combination of Confucius doctrines with Buddhism and Taoism.
