It is located in the upper and middle reaches of Pihe River, a tributary of Tuo River, 2 km from Xindu County and 13 km north to Cehngdu. The Pihe river stops at the ancient dock which links it to the Tao River, and then takes a large circuitous turn, forming the Niba Bay scenic zone promontory. The zone, half water area and half land full of bamboo, occupies a total area of 180,000 square meters. Along the Pihe River are the Yinhuang Pavilion (hidden-bamboo pavilion), Tingliu Pavilion (listening to river flow), Fuliu Pavilion (stroking-willow) Dai'ou Pavilion (sea-gull waiting), Guandiao Pavilion (angling-watching), Wangjiang Pavilion (river-viewing) and Jiangtuo Pavilion. A short distance from the bay is the famous Longmen Mountain, where Ming Dynasty scholar Yang Shen climbed to view the beautiful scenes of Niba Bay and wrote a poem describing the extraordinary scenes here. There is also a Catholic church established by a foreign missionary of the Qing Dynasty. It is an ideal place for ecological tourism and water sports.s
