The provincial Tiantai Mountain Scenic Zone is located within the boundary of Qionglai County, 89km northwest of Chengdu, and covers an area of 308 square km. It enjoys a mild climate with plenty of rainfall. The primitive vegetation on the mountains is well preserved, with a forest coverage rate of 94.4 percent. On the mountains, there are 13 waterfalls, and many mountain springs. Natural scenes here include mountain views, rock forests, peak rivers, waterfalls and springs, water curtains and multi-tier streams, colored pools, cave streams, and primitive forest.
