Tanghu Garden, located in the south suburbs 16 km from downtown Chengdu, occupies an area of 250mu and lake area of 50mu. The garden was built in the style of traditional Chinese architecture in 1987, and grows mainly the Chinese flowering crab apple. It has received nearly one million visitors.
