The provincial scenic zone of Yunding Stone Town is located in Jintang County, 47 km from Chengdu, with a total area of 46 square km. It includes the large and small Yundings, Paotai Mountain, Yunding Lake, Jiulong Long Lake, forming the elite of sights in eastern Chengdu. The zone consists of the natural sights of the Garden Water-town the minimum "Three Gorges", Sleeping Beauty Longquan graben fault, Tianxing Cave, Tiger Cave; and historical relics of the ancient battlefield, stone town remains and the North Gate of the Song Dynasty, Gate of the Weng town, Ciyun Temple, Lingkai Temple, Sujiawan Church, Study Place of Emperor Liu A'dou of the Shu State of the Three Kingdoms, the imperial edict tablet of Qing Emperor Qianlong, the Seven-buddha Temple of the Qing Dynasty and so on. There are also ancient trees in the zone such as the cypress of Han Dynasty (206BC-220) Tand Dynasty nanmu, and the couple-ginkgoes of the Song Dynasty. Fruit trees also abound including oranges and tangerines, peach and pear trees. For dynasties, men of letters have written poems here, reluctant to return.
