
The Hall was built in memory of the Prime Minister Zhuge Liang of the Shu State during the Three Kingdoms Period (220-280). It was originally built in the Northern and Southern Dynasties (420-589). In 1961, it was listed as a key historical site under state protection. The temple covers an area of 37,000 square meters, and includes Liu Bei Hall, Zhuge Liang Hall, Gallery of Ministers and Marshals, and the relics of tablets, horizontal inscribed boards and antithetical couplets, bells and drums, and tripods for burning incense.
