
The Yellow Dragon Stream, a provincial level scenic zone is the hometown of traditional folk art the fire dragon. It is located in the joining place of Pengshan, Renshou and Shuangliu counties, 47 km from
Chengdu, and joins the Jinjiang River in the east and the Muma Mountain in the north. The stream was called the Red River in old times, and had once been a hub of trade and commerce where men of letters congregated. Over 2,000 years ago, predecessors of the Sichuan people lived here. Ancient relics include the Han tombs, Ming Dynasty wooden houses, stone-plated paths, and ancient banyan trees and temples. It has become a popular place for film and TV crews to shoot their TV programs and films and has become known as "Town of Film & TV" for its unique history, culture and natural scenic sights.
